ILR 180-day absence rule explained

For most Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) routes covered by Appendix Continuous Residence, you must not be outside the UK for more than 180 days in any rolling 12-month period during your qualifying residence.

This is not a calendar-year cap. Caseworkers can check any 12-month window that falls inside your qualifying period.
